As the first player on the market, GolfStar will soon offer its memberships as monthly subscriptions. In this way, golfers avoid paying a large lump sum in advance each year and you can play for 12 months ahead, regardless of what time of year you join GolfStar.

– Golf is a sport with a lot of traditions, even when it comes to how to invoice. But today we consume everything from streaming services to glasses as a subscription. Why should a golf membership be any different, reasons Olof Ehrenkrona, CEO at GolfStar.

From mid-August, some GolfStar memberships will be able to be purchased as monthly subscriptions and will cost from SEK 575 per month, which provides play on GolfStar 21 courses in Sweden and Finland for 12 months from the date of purchase. Subscription members will also be able to take advantage of various benefits, such as higher discounts than before at GolfStar Indoor and on green fees for guests.

– You will be able to pay annually in the future as well. But monthly subscriptions will always be the most affordable option, explains Olof.

He sees the launch of subscriptions as a natural step in GolfStar’s development.

– Our membership offer is increasingly becoming a year-round product, where our members can extend the season by playing in Spain and Indoor. With a monthly subscription, you never have to think about whether you have an active membership, or feel stressed about missing any part of the season. It just rolls over and automatically renews until you cancel.

As CEO, Olof of course also sees the business advantages of offering monthly subscriptions.

– We get a more even cash flow over the year, and hopefully also a higher degree of loyalty from the members. In return, we offer a lot more golf for the money, so it’s a classic win-win, concludes Olof.
