Caddies recruits Nicklas Raask for new strategic digital competence

GolfStar recruits through the parent company Caddies Europe AB (publ) Nicklas Raask for the role of Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and thereby strengthens its digital capability. The group’s digital transformation intends to enable long-term growth and innovation within all golf game operations in Europe.

The group has an ambitious tech/digitalization agenda and we are further developing our digital business and our way of working. It is, among other things, about enabling innovation, creating solutions that effectively support and improve the business and make everyday life easier for the golfer, the facilities, employees and partners, as well as the harmonization of digital ecosystems.

– This recruitment gives GolfStar and Caddies a strong strategic addition in terms of digitalization, tech and entrepreneurship in general, which provides good opportunities to transform the golf industry into the present, starting in the Nordics and Spain. Nicklas Raask has a BA in Systems Architecture from the University of Borås/Mankato State University as well as an Exec MBA from the Gothenburg School of Economics and is CEO/founder of the management/investment company 361 Ventures AB. Nicklas was previously CEO/CEO of Xavi Solutionnode AB (publ) and CEO of Frontwalker Group. He has extensive experience in board work, investments in startups/scaleups, CEO roles in various tech companies as well as international CIO roles in, among others, Volvo Cars and Geely Automotive. With that background and experience, Nicklas not only brings digital competence, but also leadership and the habit of leading companies towards and on the stock exchange, Tony continues.

He will take up his new CDO role on 12 August 2024 and will report to CEO Tony Trigell. Subject to approval at the general meeting on June 14, 2024, Nicklas will also be part of the board of GolfStar’s parent company Caddies Europe (publ).
